U2's Spider-Man Musical Slammed By Critics - Theatre critics in New York almost unanimously slammed the new U2-scored musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. The production, which is still in previews at the Foxwoods Theatre following a string of delays, was called a stinker by the Washington Post. The Hollywood Reporter described it as a web-slinging folly, while the New York Times said: "Spider-Man is... the most expensive musical ever to hit Broadway. It may also rank among the worst."
