Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour has topped the charts for a sixth week, whilst Ellie Goulding's 50 Shades Of Grey soundtrack single has also hit No.1

Following taking home four awards at last weekend's Grammy Awards - including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album - Smith's debut LP has spent a sixth non-consecutive week at the top of the album charts.

As Official Charts company point out, the record has yet to leave the Top 10 since it was released 38 weeks ago in May 2014. Drake's surprise mixtape, If You’re Reading This You’re Too Late, entered at No.3 despite only being released on Friday. Kodaline entered the charts at No.4 with other new entries including Greogry Porter whose reissue of Liquid Spirit rose to No.10. The excellent new album by Peace entered at 12 and Father John Misty landed at No.14.

In the singles chart ,Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' remained on top for the second week in a row, thanks to sales of 118,000 and 2.25 million streams. The Weeknd, a fellow contributor to the EL James soundtrack enters the chart at No.10. Hozier's hardy perennial 'Take Me To Church' is at No.2 while 'Uptowon Funk' is at three. New entries came from DJ Fresh and Ella Eyre (No.4), Rihanna, Kanye and Paul McCartney (five), Charli XCX and Rita Ora (No.8).

Not conten with dominating the albums chart, Sam Smith's influence continues in the singles chart as well, with 'Like I Can' and 'Stay with Me' at 20 and 23 respectively.

Speaking to Gigwise last year, Smith said, "I really do have faith that people want to hear what I have to say about anything, and it's about my vocal as well. I've made the promise to myself that my music will be the documentary of my life, so whatever happens next will be written about."
