Opinions were mixed but negative overall

Last night saw the premiere of Radio 1's rescoring of Drive, a project that when it was announced caused huge amounts of furore online. Nevertheless, with a track list that included the likes of Bastille, Biffy Clyro and The 1975, some got behind it. Mark Kermode even stepped out on his blog to defend the decision and tell audiences to wait and see. Nicolas Winding Refn even got on board and said that he was behind the idea.

Nevertheless the reaction on Twitter, while not wholely negative was rather pessimistic. Views ranged from "car crash" to "brilliant", most however were not a fan of Zane Lowe's choice to rescore the film, bar a few exceptions from The 1975 and Bastille.
