Kasabian have promised to make Reading and Leeds festival 'come alive' with their headline slot at this year's double festival event.
In an interview with NME, sponsors of the event, lead singer Tom Meighan spoke of his 'honour' at performing at the festival.
"We've not been to Reading and Leeds for a long time, we've done the Vs and the other places and it's nice to be asked back," he said in an interview. "They've been getting the same bands for the last five years, but it's an honour to play there."
He added: "The moment we walk on that stage, the place will come alive. That's where we most comfortable. We love playing live rock 'n' roll. We thrive off it."
Meighan and bandmate Serge Pizzorno both agreed that the band they most wanted to see perform at Reading and Leeds was The Cure.
