Courtney Love has made a public apology to estranged daughter Frances Bean over recent allegations that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl seduced the teenager.
Love spent much of last week dissing the former bandmate of Kurt Cobain and insisting he 'hit on' their daughter. After initially refusing to back down over the comments, Love returned to her social networking stomping ground to apologise for believing gossip to be truth.
"Bean, sorry I believed the gossip.. Mommy loves you" Love tweeted, following a recent statement from Bean denying her mother's claims.
In a statement via Rolling Stone magazine, Bean announced: "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."
Dave Grohl has likewise denied all claims.
