Nirvana Second Favourite Behind X Factor For Christmas Number One

Nirvana are currently the second favourites in the race for this year's Christmas Number One single.

The band's track 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' has been given 4/1 odds to top this year's chart following a recent Facebook campaign.

X Factor contestant Amelia Lily is the favourite to take the top spot at 7/2, with the other contestants in the reality show also all given low odds to take the singles crown this Christmas, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

Other entrants include reality show The Only Way Is Essex at 8/1, while Amy Winehouse is given odds of 12/1 to top the chart.

One Direction are 20/1, as are JLS, with Rage Against The Machine, Justin Bieber and The Wurzels jointly ranked at 25/1.
