Blur frontman Damon Albarn has teamed up with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Tony Allen to assemble a new band, bizarrely named 'Rocketjuice And The Moon'.
The Gorillaz singer is set to make his live debut with the pair at London's Barbican this Saturday (October 29).
“Someone in Lagos did the sleeve design and that’s the name he gave it, which suits me because trying to find a name for another band is always tricky,” Albarn told Irish Times.
This is not the first supergroup Albarn has put together, forming 'The Good, The Bad And The Queen' in 2006 with The Clash's Paul Simonon, Simon Tong and Tony Allen once again.
Rocketjuice And The Moon have confirmed their self-titled debut is due during the next year.
