Cheryl Cole will never return to the X Factor after Simon Cowell promised this year’s judges that they would be keeping their places next year.
The music mogul, who sacked Cole from the US version earlier this year, has apparently been left thrilled by Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.
“Simon thinks all the judges have done an absolutely amazing job this year. He loves Kelly and Tulisa and there is zero chance of either of them losing their place next year,” a source told the Daily Mirror.
Another source added: “Cheryl became the nation’s sweetheart... but the past few weeks have proved there is a lot of talent just as capable.
“Now Simon has decided it would be a backward step to reinstate her.
“He gets annoyed if anyone suggests Kelly Rowland or Tulisa may have to make way for her to return. That is categorically not going to happen.”
On Saturday, it emerged that Contostavlos had taken the hard-line with contestants allegedly caught romping at the judges complex.
