Kasabian were told by the New York Police Department during their recent 9/11 gig to turn the noise down after a number of complaints.
The band performed on a rooftop in the city as part of New York Fashion Week on Monday night (September 12).
Speaking about the show, Serge Pizzorno told The Sun: ''The police came up twice to tell us to turn it down. The second time they didn't look so happy. I think the owner turned it up.''
Tom Meighan added: "NYPD at a Kasabian gig? It was a first for us.''
Previously speaking about the gig, Meighan had said: ''It will be strange for us playing in the city on such a big weekend for New York people.''
Kasabain were previewing material from their forthcoming album 'Velociraptor!', due out on Monday (September 19)
