The Darkness announce August release of third album

Lyrca-loving UK rockers The Darkness have announced the release of their third album, 'Hot Cakes'.

The new record is due for release on 20 August, 2012 and was produced by Hawkins brothers, Justin and Dan, alongside long-time collaborator, Nick Brine. The new album promises 'a musical explosion of multi-platinum rock riffs, pop hooks, and the best infectious choruses and balls-out stadium anthems'. For the time being, we'll keep our balls strictly 'in'.

The band are set for a big year, having been recently announced as the support act for Lady Gaga on the European leg of her 'Born This Way' ball tour.
