AC/DC have revealed that their new album is ‘a year or two away’.
The band are said to be very optimistic about the release date of their album, however guitarist Malcolm Young believes frontman Brian Johnson is perhaps being too confident saying it could be done by 2013.
"You know what Brian's [Johnson] like. He just says things and then walks away. It’ll be a little while – a year or two anyway. I've been doing some jamming on some song ideas but I do that all the time, as do the rest of the band.”
Young continued in a new interview with Classic Rock Magazine, "We are still working. But we had a long rest between 'Stiff Upper Lip' and 'Black Ice', so I think we need a couple of years to recuperate and work on it a bit more."
AC/DC's most recent release was their live DVD ‘AC/DC: Live At River Plate’ in 2011.
