Amy Winehouse's body contained no illegal drugs when she died, a spokesperson for her family has said.
The singer was found dead at her flat in Camden, North London on July 23. She was 27.
Toxicology tests were ordered after a post-mortem on Winehouse's body did not disclose her cause of death.
Her family's spokesperson said: “Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.
"Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death."
It added: “The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process.”
Winehouse's funeral took place at a cemetery in North London last month.
The singer's family and closes friends, including Mark Ronson and Kelly Osbourne, were among mourners at Edwarebury Cemetery.
