Arctic Monkeys forthcoming single ‘The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala’ has been affected by the fire at Sony’s distribution centre in North London.

The three-storey warehouse in Enfield caught fire overnight in an area of the capital which has seen widespread rioting and looting.

It was home to PIAS distribution, which works closely with independent record labels, including Arctic Monkeys’ label, Domino.

The label said it had lost stock in the fire and now only limited quantities of ‘The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala’ will be available from the Sheffield band’s website.

“While relieved that no one was injured in the incident, we're upset about the loss and destruction of our stock, and thinking of our friends at other independent labels who were also affected by the fire,” Domino said.

“We are currently working hard with Sony DADC to maintain our release schedule and keep business going as usual."

The riots in London began on Saturday (August 6) in Tottenham and spread to south London on Sunday (7).

Last night, parts of Hackney, Croydon and Camden were also affected, while violence and looting was reported in Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.
