Take That's Gary Barlow Confirmed As X Factor Judge By Simon Cowell

Take That's Gary Barlow will be a judge on the new series of the X Factor, Simon Cowell has announced.

The singer will replace Cowell as one of the judges on the X Factor, which still includes Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh.

Cowell said: ''Gary Barlow is the first person confirmed''.

Nobody has been confirmed to replace Cheryl Cole, who will be joining Cowell, LA Reid and Paula Abdul on the panel of the US X Factor.

Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones will host X Factor USA which will air in August.

Meanwhile, Take That will kick off their 'Progress' tour on May 27.
