Noel Gallagher has rejected a £1million offer to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on The X Factor.
The music mogul apparently told the Oasis guitarist to “name his price” to appear on the show, but Gallagher declined in order to focus on his music career.
"Simon promised global fame and a crack at the US panel in future years,” a source said.
But Gallagher apparently turned down the offer because one stipulation meant he would have to put his planned solo career on hold.
The guitarist has recently been recording his debut album.
The source added that Gallagher is keen to challenge his brother Liam's new band Beady Eye on the charts.
