Gary Glitter 'Spotted At X Factor Audition'

X Factor bosses have launched an investigation after Gary Glitter was apparently spotted at an audition for the TV show.

Fellow hopefuls claim they saw the convicted paedophile in the queue outside the O2 Arena in London on Monday (March 7).

Jay Brown, who was waiting in line, told The Sun: “We recognised who it was immediately, despite his hat and glasses,” adding: “When I tried to take his picture he kept turning away."

A spokesperson for The X Factor said they investigated the claims and were confident that the man was not Glitter.

The disgraced singer was jailed in March 2006 for molesting two girls aged eleven and twelve.
