X Factor judge Gary Barlow has said he told Adele he was “sick” of hearing songs from her recent album, ‘21’.
The London singer has enjoyed huge acclaim for the album, scoring number ones on boh sides of the Atlantic.
Take That star Barlow told BBC Radio 1 that dozens of X Factor hopefuls had chosen to sing tracks by Adele at the audition stage.
"She came to one of the Wembley shows and I said to her, 'I've got to be honest, I'm really sick of your album because it's all that's been played at X Factor',” he said.
"This year has been all Adele. We're sick of Adele."
But Barlow went on to clarify that Adele "completely understood" what he meant.
