The rapper is shortlisted for all of the big awards, including Album Of The Year for his hit LP 'Recovery'.
Eminem's Rihanna-starring single 'Love The Way You Lie' is also nominated for Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year.
Bruno Mars was second in the nominations race with seven nods, while Lady Gaga, Jay-Z and country stars Lady Antebellum each have six.
The nominations were announced during an hour-long televised event in Los Angeles, which featured performances from several other nominees, including Justin Bieber.
In The Album Of The Year category, Eminem is up against Lady Antebellum, Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
The Record Of The Year category also features Cee Lo Green, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, B.o.B and Lady Antebellum.
Bieber is nominated for Best New Artist alongside Drake, Esperanza Spalding and two British acts, Florence & The Machine and Mumford & Sons, who are also shortlised for Best Rock Song.
