Nicki Minaj: I Pretended To Be Bisexual

Nicki Minaj has spoken out about her past bisexual claims and the lack of women in hip-hop.

The rapper, who released her debut ‘Pink Friday’ last week (November 22), has said she claimed she was bisexual for attention.

‘‘I think girls are sexy. But I'm not going to lie and say that I date girls," Minaj told Rolling Stone magazine.

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Guardigna, Minaj spoke about the lack of female MC’s in hip-hop, and claimed it stems from a lack of self-belief.

"A little lost for a few years. We just had to get back our footing, get back our confidence," she said. "Female rappers tend to have a lower self-esteem and they don't believe in themselves as much as they should."

Minaj was joined by a host of special guests as she headlined Hot 97’s Thanksgiving Day concert in New York on Thursday (November 25).
