Britney Spears has said she “loved” this week’s episode of Glee, which was dedicated to the star.
The second show in season two, entitled Brittany, featured a cameo appearance from Spears, as well as cast covers of some of her biggest hits, including ‘Baby One More Time’ and ‘I’m A Slave 4 U’.
Spears, who followed the episode on Twitter, said: “Loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!”
The singer also described the programme’s cover of ‘Toxic’ as “amazing”, and paid special tribute to specific cast members.
Last night’s (September 28) episode also featured a special rendition of Paramore’s ‘The Only Exception’.
Spears is the latest artist to be recognised by the show. Other episodes have featured the music of Lady Gaga and Madonna.
Sir Paul McCartney, George Michael and Coldplay are all understood to have agreed to take part in the second series.
