George Michael has been jailed for crashing his car while under the influence of drugs.
The former Wham! star was arrested in July after he crashed into a photographic shop in Hampstead, London, causing extensive external damage.
The 47-year-old was given a six-month interim driving ban after pleading guilty to possessing cannabis and driving under the influence of drugs last month.
Michael was sentenced to eight weeks in prison during an appearance at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court today (September 14).
The sentence marks the latest in a series of brushes with the law for the star, who only recently finished a two-year ban for drug driving.
Meanwhile, Michael is scheduled to reissue his debut solo album 'Faith' on September 27.
The album, originally released in 1987, will be available in multiple formats, including a Limited Editor Numbered Collectors box set.
