Lil' Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' has gone straight in at number one on the US Billboard album chart, selling 964,000 copies.
The monster figure gives the rapper's effort the second-biggest first-week sales figure of 2011, behind Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'.
362,000 copies sold of the album came from digital downloads - the rest physical sales.
'Tha Carter IV' is Lil' Wayne's non-sequencial follow-up to 2008's 'Tha Carter III', which sold 1.01millions copies in its first week.
The album is also the rapper's first major release since he was released from prison over gun charges.
Meanwhile, Lil' Wayne has said he doesn't expect to feel any repercussions from a diss track aimed at Jay-Z on the album.
