Marc Almond Is In Intensive Care

Soft Cell star Marc Almond is critically ill in hospital after a road accident on Sunday afternoon.

The singer was a passenger on a motorbike when the vehicle was involved in a crash with a car in the City of London at 4pm yesterday.

A spokesperson for the City of London Police has said:

"There was a serious collision between a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Cannon Street and New Change in the City of London."

"Both the motorcycle rider and the pillion passenger are in hospital. The rider has severe injuries and the pillion passenger is critical."

"City of London Police are investigating the collision. Marc Almond was the pillion passenger."

Almond received emergency care and is now recovering in intensive care.
