Lily Allen has apologised to her fans for recent comments she made about drugs.

In a recent interview, the pop star talked candidly about taking ecstasy and Ketamine and said she was going to celebrate reaching number one with a smile by taking ‘gak’ – the slang word for cocaine.

Now in a post on her official forum, Allen admits that what she said was “silly” and she hopes she did not upset her fans.

She said: “I shall just have to be very careful with my use of words. I'm sorry if I have disappointed any of you."
