The alternative, religious-themed lyrics to Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' created by a Canadian Catholic school have gone viral.
Twitter user @problematiques tweeted the lyrics on Monday, saying, "My sister goes to a catholic school and the teachers made them do a dance to uptown funk but with religious lyrics."
The accompanying four-page lyric sheet begins, "This is a song 'bout how God can love you / This is a song 'bout how God can lift you up / Stylin', Whilin', livin' it up in the church / Got a bible on that book shelf, gotta bless myself so holy." It's so embarrassing it's actually quite endearing.

Another highlight is, "Stop! Wait a minute. Fill my cup put some spirit in it / Take a sip, sign the cross, hallelujah praise God."
After a slightly shaky start (an X Factor cover of the song before it was released was criticised for jeopardising its chances in the charts) 'Uptown Funk' is now one of the biggest selling singles of all time, with an estimated 10 million sales.
Mark Ronson recently announced he is set to perform a rare live full band show at Benicassim FIB Festival this summer. Ronson was previous scheduled for a DJ set at the Spanish event, but now has announced that he'll be performing live with a full band. This will be one of just three full live gigs for Ronson this summer, with the majority of other confirmed appearances simply DJ sets.
