Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz has recruited a relatively unknown singer to front his new band.
Bebe Rex, who has minimal experience in the music industry, will join Wentz in Black Cards.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the bassist revealed he discovered the singer working in the same studio in New York.
"We have completely different influences," Wentz said, adding that Rex was “just an awesome, natural talent”.
Black Cards are currently finishing their debut album, which Wentz said was a combination of reggae and British electro-pop music.
Two song snippets are available at www.bl4ckc4rds.com. The group are expected to tour later this year.
