Muse have been presented with the Silver Clef Award at a ceremony in London.
All three band members, who headlined Glastonbury last weekend, appeared in person to collect the award.
Muse turned down the prize in 2009, but said they were now “very proud” to be joining previous recipients, who include The Who.
The ceremony, at the London Hilton, also saw Tony Bennett receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash was awarded with the Ambassador Of Rock honour, while JLS collected the Newcomer Award.
