California officials have released a prison mugshots of shamed producer Phil Spector.
Taken shortly after the Wall of Sound innovator was sentenced to second-degree murder, the photos show a very different Spector than we're used to.
Without one of his trademark madcap wigs, the 69-year-old looks gaunt and troubled as he begins his 19-year prison sentence.
Prisoners in California are not allowed to wear wigs for hygiene and contraband reasons under Title 15, Article 5, Section 3062 of the prison act in the State.
Spector was found guilty of murdering actress Lana Clarkson in court last month. He won't be eligible for parole until he's 88.
