The Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon has announced plans to write a new stage musical for the London theatreland.
The front man is understood to be working on the project, a reworking of Arthur Ransome’s ‘Swallows And Amazons’, for The National Theatre.
The novella was first released in 1930 and tells the story of four children who set out on a boat to an island of adventure.
Hannon has also recently worked with Air on their album ‘Pocket Symphony’.
There is no news yet on when the musical will hit the stage.
