Neil Hannon’s Divine Comedy returns to the live circuit for the Cains Liverpool Irish Festival.
The show will take place at Liverpool’s Carling Academy on Nov 4, featuring a seven piece band to showcase songs from the latest album ‘Victory For The Comic Muse’.
Van Morrison will also be playing the Philharmonic Hall on Oct 20th and 21st to mark the opening of the Liverpool Irish Festival. Making classic tunes since 1964 the legend is back with a country influences album ‘Pay The Devil’.
The festival, which runs from Octiober 20 to November 12, features club nights, traditional irish dance shows, a series of short films and theatre to part celebrate the irish roots of the city.
Last year 14,000 people attended the festival and this year they are hoping it will be even bigger.
Divine Comedy are best known for songs ‘Something For The Weekend’ and ‘The Frog Princess’ as well as singer Neil Hannon’s work on Irish TV Comedy Father Ted.
