Lusts premiere new video Mouthwash Photo: Press

The trippy new video for 'Mouthwash' from Midlands psychedelic duo Lusts has just been released. Watch it first on Gigwise below.

The duo - comprised of brothers Andy and James Stone from Leicester - are now signed to James Endeacott's recently revived label 1965 (the previous home of everyone from The View to Toddla T). Lusts have already supported Coves on tour and already a firm favourites with BBC 6Music and XFM. The video combines Instagram-worthy visuals, choppy upbeat guitar licks and the naturally sombre setting of a cemetery.

Describing the video the band explain: "Mouthwash is a song that is reflective of mortality, unfaithful relationships and lost introverted thoughts. We like the idea of creating something that on the surface feels upbeat and uplifting, but is paralleled lyrically with darker feelings, it’s got an undercurrent, and represents how something you wouldn’t expect can be a trigger for nostalgia, memories or fears. With the video we wanted to try and find a visual way of showing this, and letting yourself go rather than letting the feelings control you.”

The single ‘Mouthwash’ is available to digital download now and will soon be available on seven inch backed by ‘Dive’ and the instrumental ‘Disappear’. Lusts have a number of UK tour dates planned including an appearance at Hand Made Festival in Leiceister and Secret Garden Party in Huntingdon.
