The product of PC Music label boss A.G. Cook and his associate SOPHIE collaboration with singer, dancer, alchemist and energy drink flogger extraordinaire QT, 'Hey QT' is a chipmunked, sugarcandy europop track. Its genius lies in its ability to delight and infuriate in apparent equal measure.

QT, real name Quinn Thomas, is a persona and extension of the hyper-real song (and energy drink) she has created. For example, when asked about the drink in interviews, she often repeats the following statement from the DrinkQT website: "DrinkQT is manufactured to contribute to upward shine, vertical connectivity and personal growth." and other such nonsense.
To give QT some credit, she did at least acknowledge the commercial side to all this in an interview with Fact: "XL have promised us a high gloss advert, I mean music video, so we are looking forward to getting to work on that." And no, the drink is not yet available to purchase, but might be by the end of the year.
QT recently took part in a showcase at South By Southwest which The Atlantic compared to the "Jeff Koons of the pop world."
