Supporting The Pigeon Detectives on their vigorous tour, right through from now until late November, One Night Only couldn’t be touring with a more suitable band. So what are they named after? The Bee Gees, Thin Lizzy and Elton John all had albums with this name. Well they don’t sound much like either of those bands. With 'You And Me' they are rather more like another one of those Northern indie bands to chuck into the pan of mediocre. The track struggles to differentiate itself from the likes of say; Little Man Tate, Milburn, or any other made-it-half-way songs. It is a bouncy track and perceptibly pleasant to listen to if you are never one to grow tired of down the line indie-pop. Perhaps what is to follow may mature musically, but as they stand now there is no element in the song, whether it be lyrics, vocals, melody that makes it any better than the rest of them.
