Actress Hands’ ‘Come The Summer Days’ has everything you should want out of an early-June single: a laid-back, Strokesy strum, lead singer Matt Eaton’s equally listless vocals, quasi-romantic lyrics, and production values that would make Robert Pollard proud. Unfortunately, the chorus’s equally as lazy as everything else, sluggish and anticlimactic, with Eaton hiding from the sunlight under a haze of back-up vocals and overly noisy cymbals. Go towards the light, Matt, not away from it!
