James Brown – The legendary soul singer had multiple brushes with the law before he even found fame, serving three years in prison aged 16. In 1988, was also sentenced to six years n prison for carrying an unlicensed pistol and assaulting a police officer. He was released in 1991 after serving just three years behind bard.
