An autopsy into the death of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray has proved inconclusive.
Gray’s body was found in a hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa by an employee on Monday (May 24). He was 38.
Polk County Medical Examiner Gregory Schmunk said it could take four to six weeks for toxicology tests to be returned.
Police have said there was no evidence of foul play or trauma, but that Gray’s death remained under investigation, reports the AP.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the eight remaining members of Slipknot held a press conference yesterday (May 25) to pay tribute to their late bandmate.
They were joined by Gray’s pregnant wife Brenna.
The bassist was one of the original members of Slipknot, who formed in Des Moines in 1995.
