Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has revealed that he turned down an offer to appear as a guest judge on forthcoming BBC talent show, The Voice.
The singer, who is also a trained airline pilot, said he wasn't a fan of reality shows.
"That show sounds so cr*p and demeaning to everyone involved, I took great delight in turning the BBC down,” he told The Sun.
"The X Factor is appalling enough, it's no better than Opportunity Knocks."
Other music stars linked to the judging panel included the recently sacked X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole. The Voice begins in 2012.
