Good news if you like mud, hip-hop and The Wire - actor, rapper and DJ Idris Elba has confirmed himself to be appearing at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The Oscar-nominated actor and star of Long Walk To Freedom and The Wire also has a music career - and this week told a crowd at Spotify Ad Week that he'd be performing at Glastonbury this year, reports Digital Spy.
Though he's known for his roles in Luther, The Wire, Pacific Rim and now Mandela, Elba also has a successful music career under the moniker of Driis. The star DJs at clubs and festivals, as well as directing and starring in music videos for the likes of Busta Rhymes and Mumford and Sons.
Speaking to Gigwise last summer, Elba said, "I get butterflies when I act, but when you've got two turntables and 6,000 people in front of you, standing there going 'come on then' - that feeling doesn't rely on the skills of an actor. It's all about instinct and knowing your music and reading the crowd. You don't get that from acting."
