30 Seconds To Mars frontman and Hollywood award-winning actor Jared Leto has spoken out about his recent success with Dallas Buyer's Club and the public perception of whether the music or the movies came first.
Leto has won a raft of awards for his role in the critically-acclaimed Dallas Buyer's Club - including the Golden Globe for Best Support Actor an Oscar nomination for the same title. However in a new interview with Variety, he says that the runawy success has overshadowed his previous acting work and left many believing that this is his first role.
People now think he's a 'rock star-turned actor', rather than vice-versa.
"There are people who think ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ is my first movie," he said. "I’ve become a musician looking for an acting job, rather than an actor looking to make an album."
Leto's first film role was in How To Make An American Quilt in 1995, seven years before 30 Seconds To Mars released their self-titled debut album. He has also appeared in massive movies such as Fight Club, American Psycho and Girl Interrupted.

Oh yeah. In the same interview, Leto also reveals that he has a coffin in his living room, but he's not sure where it came from.
"I think it’s from Mr. Nobody," he says, referring to his 2007 role. "But I can’t really remember". The 'coffin table' is stacked with hundreds of books, such as Homer’s 'The Odyssey' and works by Stephen King.
