Nicki Minaj has expressed her disbelief at Tim Westwood losing his daily Radio 1Xtra slot yesterday, urging the DJ to move to America and make his name over there.
Westwood revealed the fact he had been 'fired' yesterday, launching a Twitter campaign in support of the hip-hop presenter.
It wasn't long until Nicki Minaj learned of the news, Tweeting Westwood directly to offer her support.
"Ur kidding right? Wtf?", she Tweeted. Adding: "Noooooooooooooo Tim Westwood is such a big part of my UK experience!!!!! He's a f**king superstar!!!! Best interviews hands down!!!! Wtf?!?!"
Nicki continued: "dm ur nmbr. U need to come to the States! Ur a f**king gold mine. No one in their right mind fired u."
Despite Westwood's protestations, he hasn't actually lost his job entirely. The 54-year-old DJ will vacate his weekly 4-7 slot from September 2012. However, he will continue to present his 1Xtra and Radio One saturday night shows and will host a Sunday night show from 7-9pm.
