After cancelling a string of summer festival appearances, rapper Azealia Banks has been confirmed to appear at this year's Bestival event in September, 2012.
The rapper previously pulled out of Lovebox and Rockness to concentrate on her debut album, but is named alongside a number of additions to this year's Isle of Wight end-of-summer spectacular. New on the bill are M Ward and Frank Ocean. These artists will perform alongside headliners Stevie Wonder and New Order and exclusive performances from The xx and Sigur Ros.
“With the Friday headliner coming in a few weeks I thought we'd ramp up the excitement a bit more for Besti-goers with the additions of Frank Ocean and M Ward," says organiser Rob Da Bank. "Two totally different artists from across the Atlantic, Frank is one of the most requested acts on our messageboards and he's such an incredible performer - like a young Prince! M Ward is a folk and indie legend already and we’re very excited to welcome him for the first time!”
