More about: Tulisa
X Factor judge and N-Dubz star Tulisa has revealed that her debut single was initially meant to be recorded by another pop star.
The singer, who hit headlines earlier this year when a sex-tape leaked online, told the tale of debut release 'Young' during an interview with Radio 2.
"With 'Young', it was one of those ones I heard in the studio, produced by one of my very good friends with Fazer, who I was in N-Dubz with," she said. "I heard it, and I was like, 'I have to have this song. And it was meant for someone else, I'm not going to say who it was meant for, who they pictured it for, but I nicked it.
"They don't know I've nicked it! They didn't even get a chance to pitch it to the [other singer], they were preparing it, it wasn't even finished and I was like, 'I'm having that song, give it to me."
She also adds that she wrote most of the song after hearing the early demo. Earlier this week, Rita Ora revealed that she was offered Cheryl Cole's comeback track 'Call My Name', but refused it.
