Miles Kane has revealed he wants to record a track with 'that bird' Janelle Monet.
The indie star told NME of his plan to ditch his trademark guitar sound and record a pop single with the quirky US soul singer.
"I'd love to do a duet with that bird Janelle Monae, I'd love to make a great two-and-a-half minute pop song with her," Kane told the magazine. "I haven't put the feelers out, but I could see us working well together."
Kane also revealed he was working with Paul Weller's producers on his second album, adding that he had recored tracks called 'Woman's Touch', 'Shout To The Top' and 'Ticking Time Bomb' for his next record. 'Shout To The Top' is one of The Style Council's (formerly front by Paul Weller) most famous hits.
"I'm having a meeting with a guy who's done some Weller records in the past. But it's pretty loose, really."
Paul Weller revealed earlier this month that he would like to work with Kane, calling the singer a 'talented lad'.
