Madonna has admitted that managing her pop career and being a single mother is proving a difficult balance.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun newspaper, she also hits back at critics of her parenting skills and says she is 'doing her best'.
"Sometimes I cope with it very well, sometimes it's a struggle," she told the tabloid. "I'm not going to lie — it's hard work having four kids and doing all the work I do.
"Everybody has something to say about the way I live my life.
"At the end of the day I'm doing my best. If people don't like it, then that's really their problem."
Madonna also sings about her struggles, and turbulent marriage to director Guy Ritchie in a new song from her 'MDNA' album, 'I Don't Give A...'
