 
 Former X Factor contestant Kerry McGregor has died aged 37 after battling cancer.
The singer, ho made the last ten of the ITV talent show in 2006, passed away yesterday (January 4) after being diagnosed with bladder cancer two years ago. 
After hearing the news, Simon Cowell paid his respects over Twitter: I just heard the sad news about Kerry McGregor. I really admire Kerry and my thoughts now go out to all of her family & friends.''
While, Sharron Osbourne said: ''So sad about Kerry McGregor's passing," she wrote. "Much love and respect to her and her family." 
Her spokesman said the singer was rehearsing and recording until as recently as last month and was due to perform a duet with Susan Boyle.
