 
 Maverick Sabre has covered The Pogues Christmas classic 'Fairytale of New York' – you can listen to it below.
The singer performed the cover on BBC Radio One's Live Lounge this morning (December 9).
Speaking about his choice of song, Maverick described 'Fairytale of New York' as "an Irish Christmas classic".
Sabre is set to release his debut album Lonely Are the Brave on January 30, which will include  'Let Me Go' and 'I Need'.
Emeli Sande, Maverick Sabre and Michael Kiwanuka  have been shortlisted for the BRIT Awards Critics Choice Award. 
Previous winners of the award include Jessie J, Adele, Florence And The Machine and Ellie Goulding.
