Noel Gallagher has joked that it should have been his brother Liam who was beaten up in 2009 instead of himself.
Gallagher ws assaulted during an Oasis concert in Canada in 2008 when 47-year old Daniel Sullivan attacked him and left him with three broken ribs.
Sullivan later pleaded guilty to assaulting Gallagher and was sentenced to 12 months house arrest.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror about the incident, Gallagher said: "That had nothing to do with me. That guy was a ****ing moron. Why would he attack me and not Liam? C’mon. That’s all I wanted to say to him afterwards: 'Leave me alone. I write the ****ing songs. **** up the guy over there with the glasses'."
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has said that he is nervous about his second solo album.
The singer, who released his debut last month, said that he wishes he had never announced his forthcoming project with Amorphous Androgynous.
