Outkast's Big Boi has avoided serving jail time after being arrested and charged earlier this year with drug possession, it has been reported.
The rapper, real name Antwan Patton, was arrested in Miami (August 8) after police allegedly found him in possession of ecstasy pills, MDMA and Viagra, The Washington Post reported.
Big Boi was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He appeared in a Miami courtroom yesterday (October 13), where he was offered a deal that will include three months of drug testing and community service.
A $2,000 donation to charities will also be required, but all charges will be dropped if he is tested to be drug-free after the three month period.
Last year, Big Boi hinted that Outkast's new record was "brewing", but refused to detail the project further.
