Outkast are set to release a new album early next year, it's been reported.
The duo's Andre 3000 and Big Boi are currently working on solo projects, but have apparently made plans to reconvene in the studio in preparation for the as-yet-untitled album's 2012 release.
A source told HipHopWired: “Outkast is on track to release a new album by early next year. Both Dre and Big are working on solo projects; they want those out by the end of 2011.”
Outkast's last album 'Idlewild' was released in 2006.
Last year, Big Boi hinted that Outkast's new record was "brewing", but refused to detail the project further.
