Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong was asked to leave a US flight over a pants dispute.
The frontman was ejected from a Oakland-to-Burbank flight for wearing his trousers too low, reports CBS News.
Taking to Twitter after the incident, Armstrong wrote: ''Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low! What the f*ck? No joke.''
According to San Francisco's ABC7 news reporter Cindy Qiu, who was also on the flight, Armstrong was asked to pull up his 'saggy pants' before takeoff, in which he responded by asking if there were "better things to do than worry about that?"
An airline spokesperson has since released a statement saying the Armstrong was allowed onto the next flight and apologised for the incident: ''As soon as we became aware of what had happened, we reached out to apologise for this customer's experience. He elected to take the next flight.''
